More 'Living Matter in Rhythm'
In this series of paintings the viewer witnesses abstract configurations suggestive of mineral, plant and animal kingdoms. Some paintings are reminiscent of translucent insect wings, bone or muscle, jungle life, flames, wispy clouds or flowing water, while others draw one to imagine appearances from outer space.
Many of the movements and shapes recur in diverse paintings, such as the pyramidical construction with curved sides. In nature this structure is the simplest, most stable form. The reappearance of these shapes gives the series a sense of continuity.
Despite the absence of concrete symbols, the images remain complete and believable. Repeatedly the viewer is invited into an in-depth contemplation of the paintings, to allow a personal interpretation.
